Early Years Foundation Stage
We aim to fully meet or exceed all requirements set out in the EYFS and utilise reflective practice for continuous improvements in all areas of learning, including playing and exploring, active learning, creating, and thinking critically. As a whole team, we meet together on a weekly, fortnightly and monthly basis to ensure that we are meeting the needs of each child, and effectively communicate progression with each parent or professional.
All our beans have their own key worker as a main carer whilst in Nursery. Key workers will aid children in acquiring new knowledge and demonstrating their understanding through communication and language, physical development, personal, social and emotional development, literacy, mathematics, understanding the world, and expressive arts and design. Parents will meet this person on their child’s first visit.
Our SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) is the person who will work in partnership with parents, key workers and a range of other agencies to enable children with additional needs to make progress. Regular observations help monitor progress, identify interests and aid our EYFS planning. Nevertheless, we recognise that you have the most knowledge about your child. Any additional insight you can tell us about your child would be most appreciated.
